Tomo Uyesugi

Born in Osaka, Japan. Uyesugi's interest toward art was influenced from his grand father, Eiji Toda. When Uyesugi become 20 year old, he has been to Italy for 8 months to study Runaissance art, and than moved to San Diego, California, U.S.A. For 7 years of living in San Diego, he found intersts in cutural diversity of Southern California. Uyesugi's painting illustrates people in soulful figures regardless of races, age, cultural background, and nationality.

Eiji Toda

戸田英二 2009年

 

Born in Okayama prefecture. Japan. When Eiji Toda was a teenager, he moved to Kyoto and studied Japanese painting in a kyoto art college. After he graduate, Toda makes his living as a professional painter for more than 80 years. Eiji Toda is now 99 year old. He has been awarded by Nitten, the annual Japan Art Academy Award, for about 31 times. He has been awarded numerous other prizes as well. Toda is a chairman of Okayama Japanese painter association, "Saisaikai". Toda is currently working for making a second picture scroll depicting an ascetic of Buddhist monk.

Masatsune Kimura

Born in Kyoto in 1943. After graduation from Kyoto City University of Arts in 1967,Kimura has served as an art insutructor under Hiyoshigaoka high school for more than 30 years. Masatsune Kimura currently retired from teaching. He works as free-lance artist. Kimura is a member of Syutai art academy.
